Autumn Leaves ... Every season has its celebration of beauty and in the Autumn it is crisp cool days and the glorious colors of harvest. My Grandfather „Papa“ said the leaves had ripened. The leaves on these towels honor his wisdom.
My grandmother called these towels „tea towels“. They were used for drying crystal or china–not pots and pans. The linen would have left no lint–only a clear glass.
One of our greatest gifts is the power of naming. We grant meaning to everything we do. And so it is with our memories. Simple tasks like drying dishes become precious to us as we honor the tradition of appreciation for fine things and the joy of shared time. And a young child’s walk in the October woods is cherished in every Autumn that follows.
